RE: RE: Cybernesco.Exercise extreme caution.Small block and Punjabi give sound advice but it sounds to me that Cybernesco is playing with a short stack of chips.
If that is the case a "basket" of stocks in the sector of his/her choosing is tuff to execute. Perhaps an ETF in this space would deserve a look.
Punjabi's statement "late to the party...may be left holding the bag" is partly true. It should read "Keep chasing Spec stocks and you WILL be left holding the bag. You have to get in and sit on a profit position to let them run up.
I turned into an active trader upon retirement and have never done so well with my investment money since 2007 by being nimble and fiercely protective of my profits.
My style is to buy a basket in a sector and the outperformer starts getting all the money in the basket as he trends up.5%Down ticks get sold and if I have to pay up later I gladly do....as long as the trend is up.
I never make as much as say LouE has with UUU but I guarantee I have made more on my SU stocks than most buy and hold guys.. Sold at 66$ buy and hold guys still dreaming for 40 2 years later.
Cybernesco...most guys on this board are averaged in at 4$ or less and are in a lo-risk position whether they sell or hold for Divy. Your entry at 5.20 is at risk...know that. Due to the massive short interest the downside is limited (as/per LouE's last post) but this stock may well drop below 4$ post divy...know that. Will it come back??? I think so, this board seems to think so.
We all also thought that when the UUU shareholder vote went through the stock would soar. It dropped. We were wrong.
Read those posts...
You have bought a company with large long-term upside ability. Short-term explosive volatility and very few knowns.
You do know that you will get 1.06 div, sometime between now and Xmas the stock will be cheaper than the 5.20 you paid.
Sometime between xmas and Easter it will be worth more than the 5,20 you paid.
Welcome to the roller coaster.
