The statement above is clearly dead wrong. Investors who buy shares on the open market do pave the way for miners like EVG. Here's why: EVG and others use its ability to issue shares as capital to generate cash flow. Investors who buy stock in the open market support the price of the stock. The higher the price support, the less stock EVG has to issue to raise more cash since share issuance is based on the stock price. So although buying stock in a company doesn't directly put money in the companies treasury, it does affect the share price which is extremely important for future cash raises. If it wasn't important what shareholders were doing then no company would have an investor relations or marketing department...think about it.
