SFF NotesSFF drilled 12 holes (4,132 meters) into the Miraflores zone. The drill program “was designed to 1) expand the resources and 2) better delineate the porphyry.”
So, this is not a new discovery. At present, the Miraflores zone has an inferred resource of 776,000 oz Au using .3 gpt cut-off.
SFF has released results from the first 3 holes with 9 additional holes to be reported.
Holes 1 & 2 were designed “to define the projectedmargin of the breccia.”
Hole 3 was drilled at 50 degree angle from one side through the center and out the other side.
Just for kicks . . . results from hole 3 imply a horizontal thickness of 288 meters. If the breccia is shaped like a soup can and we simplistically consider hole 3 to have defined the top, bottom and width, then the volume of the can is about 22.4 mm cubicmeters.Using a specific gravity of 2.5 (just a guess), assume about 56 mm tons. Using a grade of 1.29 gpt, then over 2.3 mm oz inferred. Note this exercise assumes mineralization ends at 385 meters depth, but it actually remains open at depth.
Here is the drill map . . . https://media3.marketwire.com/docs/MirafloresDrillPlan.pdf
As hole #1 delineated the southeast side, holes will provide better info about thenorthwest side. Holes #8 to #10 weredrilled into the top of the zone and should be more interesting. It seems none of the holes tested the zone’sdepth.
NOTE:SFF has twoadditional target porphyry projects:
Dos Quebradas
AngloGold Ashanti calculated an in-house Non-complianthistorical mineral resource estimate at Dos Quebradas of 1.75 million ouncesgold at 0.5 g/t cutoff with a grade of .84 g/t Au of which at least 800,000ounces gold are attributable to Seafield (Batero owns the other half of thezone).
Chuscal
Operating 10 tpd mine on a zone 4 to 5 times the size ofMiraflores about 2.9 kms southeast . . . optioned and awaitingregistration.Mapping and sampling tobegin once registration is completed.
