mexican work programThe attached brochure outlines Copper Creek’s plans going forward. We anticipate having a comprehensive exploration program in place at our Santa Lucia project in Mexico by mid January.
Santa Lucia has gold values on surface for over 4 km, as well as an untested resistivity anomaly that runs under the gold mineralization for nearly the full 4 km length. This anomaly was discovered by Cominco Ltd. in the mid nineties, but was not followed up on due to the then collapsing prise of gold.
In the north area of the property, called La Fortuna, there are numerous old mining pits excavated by artisanal miners. These old timers would have extracted high grade gold values in the thin quartz veins seen in the pits and on the surface. Recent surface samples take by our JV partner, Kootenay Gold Inc, have duplicated some of these high grade assays. Examples are as follows:
Sample No. grams/ tonne Gold grams/ tonne Silver
PS1381F 37.5 769
PS1372F 28.2 473
PS1369F 26.1 82
PS1376F 23.4 1525
PS1373F 12.3 482
PS1371F 1.2 111
Copper Creek will focus its initial exploration on the high grade La Fortuna zone.
