HRG had a liquidity crisis because a loan matured right in the middle of the financial crisis.
This liquidity issue had no effect on the value of the assets of the company.
The number of shares was increased almost twofold (or something around that), so the company would
be worth between 1.50 en 1.75 CAD based on the stockprice before the crisis.
If he thought that gold was going to rise much further and if he assumed that due to a higher
silver price, Prognoz would be worth a lot then I think his 2.50 CAD target is NOT far fetched and he could have anticipated already by having that target.
After the capital increase by Severstal at depressed levels, this company was immediately dramatically undervalued.
As matter of fact, when nothing bad happens to Prognoz (i.e. we keep our 50%) then we should already be at 2.50!
Right now I would value us at about 1.85.
