Natural gas has given back yesterday's big gains. The United States Natural Gas Fund (NYSE: UNG) has fallen 3.33% to $6.09 heading into the close of NYSE trading. Natural gas futures have slumped 3.78% on the session.

Despite today's sell off, if you like volatility and the chance for big upside, you should consider trading natural gas. The commodity has been absolutely crushed for years as supply has far outstripped demand. Year-to-date, UNG has lost almost 40%.

A trend change may be occurring, however, as gas has gotten extremely cheap and other commodities are rallying furiously. In the last 5 days, UNG is up 2.36%, even after today's correction.

Many energy analysts and fund managers remain bearish on the space. This is definitely a high risk/high reward trade. If we are seeing the bottom in natural gas, however, it could pay off big time.
