RE: first post herefabdaq - I know what you mean about being taken out before a company reaches a decent share price in respect to its in-situ valuation.  I see folks on these boards constantly hyping and hoping for takeovers but my experience has never been that great.  One typically gets a 20% to 50% premium on a takeover when the same company could potentially get a share price increase many times that if they have other financing options available to proceed on their own.  I have never hoped for "takeovers".  The exception would be for companies that have already had a significant runup and the scale of their principal project is so large that financing is the primary hurdle.
