Cheal's history The best part was:
"TAGis very encouraged by the testing of the horizontal well thus far, aswell as all of the results from workover operations on existing Chealwells. This has resulted in TAG recently achieving the highest dailyoil and gas production volume in Cheal's history." continued Mr.Johnson.
Attached is a old story from Austral Pacific Energy Ltd. Referring to the Petroleum Mining Permit (PMP) 38156, production from the Cheal oil field

Austral Pacific Energy Ltd. said Wednesday that the development of theCheal oil field onshore Taranaki, New Zealand will commence immediately.
Production commenced earlier this week at rates up to 300 barrels perday from initial, temporary facilities that allow continuous oilproduction from one well. First oil from the field’s permanentproduction facilities is expected to be available in the first quarterof 2007 with an initial production rate of approximately 1,000 barrelsper day. Full production of approximately 1,900 barrels per day from thefield is expected from early in the second quarter of 2007.
The Cheal facilities will be capable of producing up to 2,000 barrels ofoil a day from the shallow Urenui and Mt Messenger formations. Aspreviously disclosed, an independent reserves estimate by aninternationally recognized independent engineering firm has estimatedtotal gross proved, probable, and possible remaining reserves as of Dec.31, 2005, of 4.4 million barrels oil for Cheal.
I would venture to say Mr. Johnson selected his words carefully until the final flow rate report is out.
"TAG recently achieving the highest dailyoil and gas production volume in Cheal's history."
Lets see the sun shine on us tomorrow.
