Candelaria Mining Corp. is a Canadian gold-copper exploration company with a portfolio of two highly prospective projects in Mexico. The Company owns 100% of the Caballo Blanco and the Pinos Gold Projects. The Caballo Blanco license area is located on the eastern coast of Mexico in the state of Veracruz, 65 kilometers northwest of the city of Veracruz. The most advanced project in the license area is La Paila, which is conventional open pit/heap leach mining operation targeting approximately 100,000 ounces of gold production annually. The Pinos mining property and historical mining district is located in the municipality of Pinos, Zacatecas state in north-central Mexico near the town of Pinos, Zacatecas. The property lies 405 air-kilometers northwest of Mexico City and is 67 km west-northwest of the city of San Luis Potosi, 113 km east-southeast of the city of Zacatecas, and 85 km northeast of the city of Aguascalientes.

CANACO ANNOUNCES EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTS

Canaco Resources Inc. has appointed Shannon Ross to the positionof chief financial officer and Jeff Heidema, PGeo, to the positionof vice-president, exploration. In addition, the company hasappointed Nick Watters as director, business development, andMeghan Brown director, investor relations.

Mr. Heidema, a Canadian geologist with over 25 years ofexploration experience with the Cominco, Teck Cominco and TeckExploration groups, has extensive experience in both domestic andinternational projects. His career has largely focused onexploration project management for programs ranging fromgrassroots to near-mine exploration, and also includes EHS,agreement and tenure management. He predominantly specialized inVMS and Archean gold exploration, and most recently was involvedwith the advanced projects group, focused on defining near-mineexploration targets and building value on key mine assets.

Ms. Ross is a chartered accountant with more than 25 years ofaccounting and financial management experience. She began hercareer in public practice, moved to the mining industry as aninternal auditor for Cominco Ltd., and has served as chieffinancial officer and corporate secretary for several miningcompanies, including Northern Orion Resources, ValGold ResourcesLtd., Sultan Minerals Inc. and Emgold Mining Corp. Ms. Ross holdsa bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Alberta. Shereplaces Jacqueline Tucker, who is leaving the company to pursueother interests. Ms. Tucker played a key role in the growth ofCanaco and the company thanks her for her many contributions.

Mr. Watters is a co-founder of Canaco and has been with thecompany since 2003. He has been an intricate part of the company'sgrowth, particularly in the raising of close to $50-million sinceinception. He is an independent businessman and has worked withinthe financial community since 1995. Beginning his career in thecorporate communications field, he has worked with several publicand private companies in a wide variety of sectors, includingmining, high-tech and the biotech industries. Mr. Watters has alsoserved on the boards of several public companies.

Ms. Brown has nearly 20 years of experience in the resourcesector. She started her career with Suncor Energy and has alsoworked with TransCanada and Placer Dome. More recently, she wasresponsible for investor relations at Ventana Gold Corp., which,during her tenure, was the top-performing gold equity on theToronto Stock Exchange. Ms. Brown holds a BA from the Universityof British Colombia and an MBA from Queen's University.

Canaco president and chief executive officer, Andrew Smith, said,"These appointments significantly strengthen our management teamand will greatly enhance our ability to deliver on our commitmentto grow the Magambazi project into a world-class miningoperation."
