PrimaryTarget is Mt. Eclipse Sandstone where they have 28km2 of territory. Secondarytargets are uranium hosted paleochannels or lake margins.
Why isthis important?
Well notonly is Aldershots territory 40 km sw of a defined 24 000 000 lb deposit, butdata from Thundelarra has indicated for a first time high grade yellow cakeexists outside the Eclipse Sandstone:
Paleochannel-style uraniummineralisation in the Tertiary sequence has been intersected in 15 holes over astrike length of 12 kilometres. The paleochannel systems that host the uraniummineralisation are expected to continue over a strike length exceeding 40kilometres along a regionally extensive gravity trough on Thundelarra’s100% owned tenure. Latest assays include grades of up to 1,798 ppm U3O8.
A total of 58 holes were drilled for 6968.6 metres using a combination of MudRotary, Diamond Coring and Air Core techniques.
The drilling program, Thundelarra’s first in the Ngalia Basin, locatedapproximately 300 kilometres north-west of Alice Springs,
successfully demonstrated that potentially economic grades andthicknesses of uranium mineralisation occur in both the Tertiary and Mt Eclipsesandstone sequences.
The high grade results previously reported on 23 June confirmed that thegravity anomaly also represents a structure along which Bigrlyi-style uraniummineralisation can be found.
Thick sequences of coarse and reduced Mt Eclipse sandstone have been intersectedin drilling on both sides of the gravity anomaly, with the advantage of onlyminor Tertiary cover along the northern margin (TNG002MD).

What does this mean forAldershot?
Previous data suggested all known uranium deposits are in the sandstonearea, thundelarra found that high grades of uranium are found beyond that andAldershot’s so called 28km2 prime target area will likely be expanded to include the Paleochannels or Lake Margin areas.

First Target: MT Eclipse Sandstone
Second Target: Paleochannels
Both look very promising.
