A Mini BHP Billiton?

A Mini BHP Billiton?Cerro is building a sizeable metals portfolio.  As gchandler pointed out (see gchandler's earlier post), if you add up the Cerro resources, it comes to ~12.5moz Au equivalent.  And, do not forget the iron ore at Mt. Isa.

A mini BHP Billiton?  The case could be made (or, already has).

Today's trading on the ASX, after the iron ore beneficiation news release, was promising and shows that the ASX market definitely assesses the iron ore at Mt. Isa.

We have many events to look forward to in 2011, including a resource calculation on Mt. Isa:

"A preliminary drilling program will commence early in 2011 to test the depth continuity in each of the three zones prior to a full drill-out of the 3.7km long mineralized structure with the objectives of preparing a preliminary resource estimate."
