RE: long weekend random thoughts

RE: long weekend random thoughtsI would like to give my input to your thoughts. I view each individual security as a different classification. Depending on the company, it can either be an investment, speculative play or also a trading play. I am going to use IFR to demonstrate each view point.

Investment: Someone looks at IFRs balance sheet, cash, management and properties and decides "This looks like a sound company with good long term growth, with recovering gas prices and strong oil, should do well in 3-5 years"

Speculative: (as of 3 weeks ago): "The decision of the MVP should give IFR some direction. If it is approved the shareprice should go up, and there is a strong chance it will be approved."

Trading: Seeing the shareprice below cash value, and selling out when it is at par, or above.

I agree with you onehaf, but each stock I own, I deploy a different strategy towards. Once you find that out, you should be able to make some money. At first IFR was a "trading" stock for me, but after further DD, proved to be a solid investment. 2011 will bring great rewards to shareholers IMO!!! GLTA
