The Minister of oil in the new Iraqi government Abdel Karim Luaiby on the sidelines of the Conference of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries, held in Cairo on Saturday, December 25, said that his government will recognize the contracts signed by the Kurdistan Region with foreign oil companies.

"Yes, we will recognize them," Luaiby said.

Luaiby stressed that the government will activate an agreement signed with Kurdistan Regional Government earlier this year to export crude.
