RE: RE: RE: long weekend random thoughts

RE: RE: RE: long weekend random thoughtsI think that is a very very well written post. Pat NEEDS to announce something. Here are some situations that I am thinking (No credibility to this idea, all a thought/hope).

1) Pat spins off ALL of the northern assets that are now going to be accessible via the MVP. In doing this, he can sell controlling stake to companies for cash, and will essentially JV the entire company. IFR will be a company still, but have no property assets. IFR will benefit because we will still have stake in the property, but will search for other properties, and develop those with the 20+ million cash.

2) Pat starts drilling the life out of the current properties. In 2-4 years he should have an excellent idea where the money will be made, and at that time with higher natural gas prices, will get more bang for the properties. At that time he could JV the properties.

3) Pat takes the company private. He mentioned to me in an email that about 30 million shares are held by insiders or friends, who are "long term investors". Since 50% is already accounted for, the remaining 30M shares could be picked up by the same group of insiders and friends and then the company is private, and all holding a stake in the company. This would only cost approx 5 million (to take out the remaining shares).

If, like you said, Pat doesnt give us direction in less than 2 months (I am giving him until March 1st), I think I may trim back my position in IFR. Keep in mind contacting him is always an option to discuss what the company is planning.

Look at the run up in shareprice from after Christmas last year to Jan 8th...Almost got a double in that time period...will it happen again this year?!?! With tax loss selling done it is safe to say that is a strong possibility! GLTA, wishing every IFR long a prosperous new year!
