RE: RE: Whose idea was it?Except that December 26th isn't a stat holiday in Canada - it's one of those "assumed" holidays that government employees take, but it isn't a stat holiday. 

I also am not a newbie - and I can see closing the markets when the 26th falls during a week day, but in this case with it falling on a Sunday I just see it as kind of silly to be all sitting on our butts on December 28th with closed markets, all doing nothing while the rest of the world is racing ahead.  But that's just me - I guess I'll just have to "relax and deal with it" as you suggest.
