RE: RE: RE: RE: $5 gas in the USLets try this again...I do not know why but I keep getting a meesage that profanity was in my post?????
We here in North America just look at electric cars as the big use of Lithium. This will evolve to be one of the bigger demands, but what already exists needs to be appreciated. Yes there is all the different devices (I-Phones etc.), but IMHO there is another product that uses way more lithium than anything else excluding electric Cars.
The commuting public in China is very keen on motorcycles and scooters. When I googled "
electric scooters in china" I found some fasanating articles...That for soem reason I can not post a link to them so here are the titles and IMHO any one interested in Lithium investing should read!
Honda unveils all-electric scooter, China in sights
the other one is
Tipping Point for Electric Scooters in China? SARS
Here are some quotes from this article
"combined with the fact that the Chinese government has banned the sales of internal combustion engine motorcycles in many places in China means Chinese consumers that didn’t want to ride public transit, but didn’t want to buy a car turned to EV 2-wheelers first before traditional ICE 2-wheelers."
And this as well
"According to some statistics the market for electric motorcycles in China is expected to grow 11 percent per year through 2014 to 31.6 million units."
Just some food for thought...
Cheers
