RE: RE: Shorts?

RE: RE: Shorts? Thanks Kewl2, that does help!

I didn't think there was a time limit for shorts to cover, although I wasn't really sure.  There was some suggestion in one of the posts that covering of shorts as part of year--end book balancing might be at the root of the drop in the SLX price.  But I think you put that to rest by pointing out that, because of settlement date limitations, anything that was to count in this year's figures was already over and done with.

It was the "short" comment that I couldn't reconcile with the fact that nobody seemed desperate, or even interested, in buying.

So, when the smoke is cleared away, I get the impression that neither shorts nor warrants were really an issue but that it was perhaps more the normal effect of all the key players being away from the market for the holidays.

In closing, though, I guess I still wonder where all those shares offered for sale just above the market were coming from.  It did look to me as though someone or some group was anxious to keep a lid on the price for now.

Again, thank you for taking the time to clear away some of my cobwebs.
