RE: Not happy but did the right thing

RE: Not happy but did the right thingI agree with your thinking Bravekind. A more positive thought about this is that  being able to identify such a small contamination problem before it escalated is exactly the reason the company designed and built the packaging system being used. The amounts of lead in the containers are apparently very small, none of the monitors along the route show any problems and the process has been stopped until this problem has been corrected. If there was never a chance that something like this could take place the complex system would never have been needed.

The market is unlikely to be so forgiving but, from the sound of the release, things should get back to normal in the near future unless there is more to the story than has been written. The timing of the release is very unfortunate but I would have to assume that the company has been discussing the situation with the government inspectors for a while and when that process was not leading to a resolution they had no alternative but to halt the stock and explain why it was halted. No point in thanking/blaming the company or its people for the timing - they obviously didn't choose to do it this way.

I still like the management of the company, its assets and its plans for growth but there are probably not many of us long term shareholders left. I hold a few other small miners and this type of problem seems to go with the territory. They usually are dependent on one major asset for their livelihood and share prices are volatile to say the least. I am hoping for one or two to be successful and that will justify holding several of them through tough times.

Cheers and Happy New Year.
