RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Predictions CorrectionHello Club Members Cardu and Sharkfood. Yes, I’m delusional. I have to be naïve and think that innocent posts have no influence. I have to believe that advertising has no impact on people. Why do companies pay to have their products appear as placement ads in movies? Remember Red Stripe in “The Firm.” If not, here is a website to explain the influence of placement ads, https://money.howstuffworks.com/product-placement1.htm
Sorry, I am not that naïve. I saw 50,000 sell orders go through at 3:45 on a Friday afternoon to kill the week’s gain and manage the stock price down. Hundreds of thousands of shares were sold in 2009 to nullify the press release before the issue price of new offering was struck, and many more were sold the following morning to react to the $3.50 unit price. The volume of these sales had me thinking of institutional investors playing games. This assumption was a stretch for me since the industry people that I know have integrity and pros do not have the time play games that involve posting deceit. The highlight of 2010 for me was back checking TMM9 to find that his moniker has been dormant since 2006. The penny dropped. A Calgary investment Club saw what I saw in 2006. A pro can who dominates the buying side on an illiquid stock like Oncolytics can manage the price down while assuming a large block. Their greed took over and the Club turned from pumpers to downers. Collectively, they have a substantial institutional holding and selling large blocks in the short term made sense if they could manage the price and repurchase the position and more. My message of hold and do not sell hurts them.
