RE: RE: RE: Just Some Tax Gain SellingThat's exactly what it is.  The fact that you have never heard of it doesn't surprise me, but ask yourself, if you had decided to sell a stock with a big gain in it on December 15th for example, would you not consider the idea of waiting until today to do it?

Are you trying to say that this phenomenum doesn't exist ... or that there are an awful lot of things that pertain to investing that you don't know?  I am not sure which way you are going on this one.
