Got email from WEE - Part 2I emailed to WEE management my concern about Powerwave mechanical tool versus Electric one
Here is part of answer that I got :

The Corporation’s technology is a process that generates powerful fluid pulses to momentarily expand the pore structure of rock and soil, which dramatically improves fluid flow in the ground. This process is patented, and thus must be licensed to the end user(s). The delivery of the process is not tool or system dependant. When the Corporation licenses the Technology or the process, it also provides the clients with a Powerwave or Primawave system to carry out the licensed process. As such the Corporation capitalizes Powerwave and Primawave systems and never sells or other wise transfer ownership of its tools or systems.
The Technology operates in different geological conditions, depths, viscosity of fluids, etc. It should be noted that all tools or systems create the same process, but is optimized to that particular wells / oilfield conditions.
Also each tool or system model operates within certain parameters, and thus are used for different operating environments, inclusive of whether or not the well has power to it. Tools or systems are also designed to reduce our clients’ total life cycle cost of implementing the Technology, i.e., some systems are installed by jointed pipe (most expensive), wireline or coiled tubing.

Essentially the electrical tool is deployed by jointed pipe, is more controllable but requires electricity to operate. The electrical system also costs the Corporation to manufacture.
The Corporation has several mechanical tools that do not require electricity to operate. Typically the mechanical tools operating parameters are not as easily changed once installed. As well, the mechanical tools are less expensive for the Corporation to manufacture, and more importantly less expensive for the clients to install as they can be installed by wireline or coil tubing.
