Casey's Energy Report cools to BNK Petroleum

2010-12-09 17:03 PT - In the News

the stock dropped to 2.85 the following day  back in December so Casey was maybe short covering with a dumpy comment about the leading shale player in Europe. Not casting a punch but seemed very poorly timed and i said it then and now its even more apparent.. Abby must be weeping that he split this off, the company now has very little debt, cash flow, a treasury FULL of cash and Ridonculous amounts of multiple basin bets in Europe that they paid little for and is now being drilled with other E and P's funds. Given that when these two companys were split BNK was 4.90 per share it has returned less than a double through the downturn and back. BKX was seperated at 1.85 so it has been a better investment with room to run according to the graph.  Just one of these basins comes together and this stock is $25+ based on a paltry 5000k per acre valuation given that gas is double the  price per mcf and the royalty is half or less....trading this could be tricky so keep your base positions and play with a small portion  IMHO.....GLTA its going to be a fun ride!
