RE: 5000 barrels in 1936= 8000 to 10000 todayDo we know anything about how the 1936 well was completed? If no clean-up or stimulation was performed then the well may very well be able to flow at a stabilized higher rate. Back in 1936 a 5000 bbl/day well was no economic compared to other wells in the Middle East and so it would have been shut-in with out any further work being done.

The same goes for the other 8 wells. They all had low flow rates which went down very fast. This could be the sign of wellbore damage. A proper stimulation of these wells may have even made them commercial based on current technology and oil prices.

Now, 75 years later, those old well are no longer safe to re-enter so new wells are being drilled. No company is going to pay for expensive wells unless they believe they have a very good chance of making a profit. That is why LFD is going back into this field and that is why I am invested in LFD.
