Natcore Technology Inc NTCXF

Natcore Technology Inc is a Canada based company. It is a research and development company providing solar cells with improved efficiency and reduced cost. It is focused on using its proprietary nanotechnology discoveries to enable a variety of applications including laser processing, tandem quantum-dot solar cells and its Natcore Foil Cell structure, the development of which eliminates the need to use high-cost silver in mass-manufactured silicon solar cells.

Some good news out on Natcore.

Starting to think in the direction of a sea change for the solar industry as a whole. If Natcore can demo equal conversion rate to existing methods then you should start to have a game changer.

Drivers become Natcore technology has potential for additional rapid increases in economy, efficiency and speed of implementing change. Existing technology probably does not.

Natcore seems to say, just by adding additional layers, once they have the basics down, then conversion rates can be effected at what might be dramatic levels, as in maybe a double. Back to that quantum dot thingee.

In addition they are supposed to have the ability to make a roll / flex / film type panel. Be interesting to see what that involves. In general those type applications are generally thought to have superior ambient temperature characterisics compared to other designs. If temperature rises on the PV panel, output can decrease in some cases, also one factor in working life.

Done buying what I will buy for openers. 40000 shares.

With the relatively small issue / float will not take much to pop it out a good amount. Up a tad on the news. Still don't think the stock is on most folks radar. For me, probably a waiting game looking for more development type news before buying more. Thinking I want a boat load if it will be a real game changer bit further down the road.

Current technology is probably limited to small incremental type changes, Natcore might be able to do bigger bunny hops. Work in progress. Not seeing anything raising any red flags yet. Just the opposite.
