Route1 Releases TruOFFICE™ 2.8 with Strengthened Security
TORONTO, ONTARIO – April 13, 2010 - Route1 Inc. (TSXV: ROI), a security and identity management company, today announced the release of TruOFFICE 2.8 with strengthened security and Windows 7 support.
TruOFFICE users can now connect to Microsoft® Windows 7 desktops from anywhere, at any time. This version also supports 64-bit Windows operating systems including 64-bit versions of Vista and Windows 7.
TruOFFICE 2.8 now supports AES 256 (Advanced Encryption Standard) for encrypted data communications.
“Route1’s technology enables enterprise personnel the flexibility to work anywhere, at any time, with the highest standards of security,” said Jerry Iwanski, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. “Strengthening Route1's solution with AES 256 was an important element in addressing our customers' most stringent information assurance requirements. The cryptographic community predicts that AES 256 will remain computationally unfeasible to break, up to year 2200.”
Registered TruOFFICE customers should expect to receive an email with the TruOFFICE 2.8 software update instructions. Customers may also contact their reseller or Route1 technical support for instructions at +1 866-371-1781. Only customers wishing to connect to Windows 7 desktops are required to upgrade.
About TruOFFICE
Route1 TruOFFICE, powered by MobiNET, is an identity-based remote access service that connects users to their workspaces (desktops, servers, databases) from anywhere, at any time. TruOFFICE eliminates the need to carry laptops and storage devices potentially containing sensitive information that could get copied, lost, or stolen. Built for security, mobility, and simplicity, TruOFFICE mitigates data leakage by keeping all files and data behind an organization's firewalls.
Users simply insert their MobiKEY identity validation USB device, into any Internet-enabled computer and enter their private MobiNET password to immediately access digital resources as if they never left their desk. There is no need to configure a VPN, launch operating systems, applications and files from encrypted storage devices, or install any software on the guest computer.
