The Shear Size AloneI agree completely with the post naming the logistical issues. Let's not forget how HUGE this area is. By comparison, the largest open pit gold mine in operation on Earth today is (supposedly) the Grasberg mine in Indonesia which covers 524700 acre = 2123.385 km². Between DLKM, RBYC, and whatever Canaco is calling themselves now; they are covering 850 km² = 210039.574 acre
Roughly about the size of Manhattan in the US and half the size of the Grasberg Mine which currently employs 19,500 workers full time, on round the clock and calendar operations. This spot in Tanzania, after reading ALL of the reports published thus far, could rival (proportionally) the amount of Gold produced by Grasberg.
IMO, if I were trying to get production started in one of the most remote regions on Earth, on this scale, I would be taking my time, marketing to potential investors, proving and providing the work thus far to the banks, leveraging support and logistics with the other explorers in the region, and most importantly, not trusting anyone else to do these things on my behalf.
