RE: RE: RE: RE: Questions"Yeah, the other party---if, and a big if, if what you say is indeed the case---has been speculated to be . . . China."

Obviously a very big if.

But given that very big if, there are a limited number of parties who could be behind this.  I doubt it's the Hunt brothers (lol).  Some have speculated that they are doing it on behalf of the USgovernment for some reason that has never been really clear to me.

I really doubt it is JPM acting on their own, risking everything on this highly speculative naked short position that could literally destroy them.  They must be hedged in some way that we can't see.  Speculating that what we see is really a hedge against a large long position in some sort of swap against the price of silver and gold is the only rational explanation for it that I have run across.

Now, what happens when the counterparty to this hypothetical swap position decides that they've got all the physical that they can wring out of the market, and defaults on the swap?  JPM is left holding the bag - i.e. they are suddenly naked short all that silver and gold.

But they are too big to fail, right?  So Uncle Sam rides in to the rescue, and the price of PM's does some very interesting fireworks.

Obviously a very big if.  With very big implications.
