I talked with IR this afternoon. Results of phase2 (H5N1) will be coming out as schedule at the end of the month. The exciting news for me is the fact that a phase 3 is not necessary ( I always thought it was for this particular vaccine). They will apply for a “production” permit which can be (has to be) renewed every 18 months. Other vaccines will be developed and tested in 2011 and 2012. This year, they intend to issue a press release at least every two months to keep investors well informed. They are very excited concerning the prospect of the company. NO PP IS BEING PLANNED. Apparently Paradigm Capital did not lower its $2.00 plus target...their deadline is.

The Phase II randomized, placebo controlled clinical trial is designed to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of different doses of the Company's H5N1 vaccine. Specifically, the vaccine will be studied in approximately 255 healthy adults between the ages of 18 to 60 years. In the first part of the study conducted in 2010, 135 healthy adults were administered twice with either a placebo or the H5N1 vaccine at varying doses to determine the optimal dose. In the second part of the study to be conducted in 2011, healthy adults will receive an injection of either a placebo or the H5N1 vaccine at the optimal dose. To date, all results have shown the H5N1 vaccine is safe and well tolerated.
They (MDG) talk about 255 healthy adults and mention 135 of them were in the first part of P2 SO I assume the remaining 100 healthy adults will be used for the second part of P2 to be completed in 2011. No time line is given so who knows how long they have to wait. A month? A year? Whatever, it doesn't fit into this "production" permit issue. They have to finish P2 first!
Not good! Why didn't they state how long they had to wait for the results for this second part of P2? Why didn't they mention that they didn't need P3? Why didn't they mention the production permit? Why?
More examples of why I do not trust these guys!
