They also have had several financings leading up to drilling and are not short of funds at all and have income coming in - better than a lot out there. You will find when most companies get mineral rights they usually convert what was owed for land (in this case township) to shares. This was just a normal business deal. You will not find this unusual at all for a lot of juniors. JMO

It is not unusual for drilling companies and other providers to take stock, quite often they prefer it, they know that their .12 cent stock will more than likely triple, nog has 10 million to work with so they are not short of cash, as far as the negative posters are concerned I don't pay much attention. Watch the company and the stock, they will speak for themselves.
