Does this make sense?Trying to figure out why someone would want the stock price low, unless of course, they were shorting it.

How about this?

You are going to grant some options.  Now typically you want someone to think they are going to make money off the options, so the lower the option price and the higher the potential of the stock, the better.

BUT, if a stock is trading around 80 cents, you can't really grant options for 50 - 60?
But if the stock is trading in the 50's, then maybe even get away with the 40s?

A notice just popped up, 5M options to Mr. Ellison in this case, subject to shareholder approval of course - but doesn't mention the price...

I hope he exercises each and every one of them for a profit of a few dollars each
