Do analysts play games with targets?

Do analysts play games with targets?Sometimes I wonder about that.  I know, for example, some brokers that hold stock in their house account, point
out the future price target, and sell it to you out of their treasury, which they bought at a much reduced price.
Again, if that same company provided financing under certain conditions, then other considerations come into
play such as options, etc.  You all know that games.

Maybe the thinking is already $ 18.00+ down the road, but they have backed off that long term target and planted
their feet more to the near term push, based on coming results in the near future, and of course, guessing at
the PM market as well.

This market is sooooo small.  It's too bad that it's also so fickle at times!

Cheers
