If an order takes out an offfer which is replaced within milliseconds, by definition there's an iceberg. It is not necessarily there to prevent a rise, more likely posted so as to not scare buyers.

It's dangerous to place one to prevent a rise as an astute buyer would soon recognize that and keep buying until either gone or exhausted.
