RE: RE: Continues to Build Quality Management Team
"In order to accomplish the aggressive goals we have set for this year and beyond, we must bring on key people. I am very pleased to have Clyde heading our Mexican operations. He has the experience, skills and drive necessary to advance this project to its full potential. Clyde will also play a vital role in the continued evaluation and managed growth of the entire district as well as other opportunities in Mexico."
This is a pretty significant event imo. They've been talking about getting the right people in there & given the quality of this mgmt team, they do not choose lightly. Imo, Callahan means business & will do everything he can to mine as many ounces and we all know there's a heck of a lot of ounces at these properties.
I understand it's difficult to be patient when there's no news, especially when it seems every other mining company is releasing news. But if deserved, every mining company's time will come & we're all here on slx for our various reasons, most notably, there's a lot of ounces to be mined & a lot of profits to be made. While the stock price has been hanging out for a while now, let's keep in mind it moved quite a bit in a short period of time so perhaps this is just a temporary hangout before the next big push up. And if there is a push up, it'll probably make really good gains before it reaches its next hangout level at which point everyone will clamor that the stock price isn't moving. Let's not deny it - it'll happen. It's human nature.
Bottom line is that it takes time to build value. There's a lag b/w strategy & execution. Personally, I prefer CEO's that underpromise & over deliver. I like CEO's that have a long term vision & stick to it, even if it means taking a step back today to move much further forward tomorrow. Callahan knows slx owns great properties - he & Hecla wouldn't be here otherwise. So if there's no news b/c they're working hard to deliver good/great news, then I have the patience.
"The Company is also pleased to announce it has hired Marien Segovia as Senior Administrator. Ms. Segovia has extensive experience in all aspects of corporate administration and regulatory filing. From 2002 until joining Silvermex, she held the position of Senior Administrator, Translator and Executive Assistant at Silver Standard Resources Inc. Ms. Segovia is a CTTIC Certified Translator and a Member of the B.C. Society of Translators & Interpreters."
Imo, this is a pretty under the radar move as Ms. Segovia is fluent in Spanish. I suspect she'll provide frequent translating services, whether personal or from a regulatory perspective in addition to her role as a senior administrator.
