Calculation Tonnage
Calculation TonnageI consider the following to be a fairly conservative estimate which yields just under 5 million oz.
I don't include sections 95 and 96 so there is 600m of strike length - Sections 89 to 94 plus 50m extrapolated along strike in both directions.
Average width = 150m
Average depth = 400m
SG factor = 2.65
Average grade = 0.05 oz/ton (just under 1.5 g/t I think)
So tonnage is 600 * 400 * 150 * 2.65 = 95.4 million tonnes
Inferred oz = 95.4 million tonnes * 0.05 = 4.77 million oz
Play with the numbers yourself if you don't like mine but I feel I'm being conservative. If the average width is really only 130m then the estimate drops to just over 4 million oz. If it's right and /or I'm understating width, depth or stirke, then the estimate rises to over 5 million. Certainly one could make an argument for depth (thickness) being closer to 500m.
Next set of results should include holes drilled along sections 88 and 87.
So this is just my opinion and a back-of-the-napkin ballpark estimate. Do not take it to the bank.
