RE: Market Call

RE: Market CallI'm pretty sure the enitre show is screened down to companies that the manager either owns or is very familiar with. I have heard the rare time where the host has said "not sure how that one slipped through", i.e. a call about a company the guy didn't know or a small cap stock comes through on a large cap show, etc.

I don't think they necessarily screen it to companies the manager owns, because after watching the program for years they definitely cover a lot of companies the manager either doesn't own, doesn't like at the price, or has owned in the past and sold out of it. That being said, there is no question they screen it to familiar companies, otherwise you could get a small cap manager on the show and there could be thousands of venture companies that he doesn't follow, hasn't heard of, or is in a sector they aren't interested in, etc....and that would probably be bad business for BNN if the manager is clueless all the time.
