OK, I was wrong on this one
OK, I was wrong on this oneOK, I was wrong on this one, so take my next pointy with the grain of salt it perhaps deserves.
How does the street evaluate a purchase like this, when they give no revenue or profit or even EBITDA numbers for Choice, they use stock proceeds discounted at 20% to pay down debt allowing shewd investors to buy these and sell the ones they currently own at a profit, and all this to buy a company that clearly is in a different business then what their core business is about?
Do you think that perhaps no other waste management companies would be interested in Choice and therefore Swisher got a great deal? The current owner of Choice doesn't like money and gave Swisher a peach of a deal? Maybe the street was just waiting for Swisher to change product offerings from cleaning bathrooms to waste disposal before they embraced the stock, like they have ever approved of a game change like this before?
All quite bizarre if you ask me. In any event, good luck to everyone. I lurk only to learn. There is a lesson here, I just don't know what it is, yet.
