RE: TiO2 market flourishing

RE: TiO2 market flourishingGood information, KB, very helpful. Thanks.

BTW, Do you happen to know:

1). For typical painting plants, to change TiO2 supplier, how much re-formular work need to be done?  How much that would cost?  (In some other industry, for quality control and for regulation requirement, change supplier is a serious project, it is costly and time-consuming.  Hope painting industry is not that tough.).

2). Since painting industry is current major customer for TiO2, What is the typical current specification for TiO2 used in painting industry?  And how much test has to be done?
Except chemical purity, does it contatins some other requirement such as - partical size, partical distribution, surface area per gram, opequeness, compaitibility study (with other chemical used in the same formula), rheology parameters, shelf-life study etc.?

Could you let us know?
Thanks.
