RE: arequipa Hey, nice to hear you were in it too. When I got in at 7 bucks, things were looking so good, I hung on for the ride to the end. I was actually in on Bre-x as they had all the best of the best analysts totally fooled and they were tripping over each other to recommend it to people. Luckily, I got spooked by a pullback and bailed ahead of the drop. I too did very well back then, but also took a bit of a bath on some other stocks as things began to drop and you couldn't get info fast enough. It seems like our pasts had many similarities , and yet here we are still plugging away at this game today. I've learned many important lessons from that period in time, and hope to never repeat some of my mistakes.
Experience and information mean everything. I have to admit that I've stuck with mostly the Gold juniors, because I still love that potential pop, and gradual climb. This year reminds me of 1996, as it seems like there is no end to the potential winners out there with many unbelievable grades. I'm almost wondering if these labs are getting it right. I'm trying to diversify a little more, but I always seem to head back to the Juniors. I'm playing with some rare earth companies now, but I'm being very cautious as they are new to me and have a bit of a learning curve to them. I always find it easiest when I just compare the gold grades to good old arequipa. I have not been in this one too long, but I like what I see so far. As for your last line about,"Tell me that nothing bad will happen, right? ", well I wish I could put you at ease, but I think you and I know better.
It's always a gamble, and you can't rely on a good run forever, so keep informed and be ready to cover your a s. I trade alot differently than I did before as I will try to stay long, but I'm not afraid to tell you that it includes some bailing if things don't look good, or if stocks are being manipulated by some of our favorite financiers. If they don't want to let it run, I'm ready for their games. I like being able to count on a run with news and a 1/3 drop back. It's a great pattern to follow, but that doesn't always work either. Long winded again.
Nice to hear from you and good luck.
