RE: RE: RE: What is up with this play? eomI tell myself I'm not a "chart guy" but I keep coming back to them.
On the chart I posted, both Tower Hill and GDXJ (a reasonable proxy for the sector IMO) were in an uptrend until about the end of November. Per the same chart, from that point until now the overall sector has been in a downtrend, while Tower Hill has been in a level, albeit volatile, trading range..
So the question is, what happened at the end of November to cause this divergence? Probably this:

I don't know whether the discovery of high grade feedstock for initial processing will pay for 10%, or 50%, or 100% of a mill, and maybe management doesn't know either just yet, but on Nov. 29 anyone who owned Tower Hill become wealthier because the need for capital raising became less, maybe a lot less, meaning less dilution, private placements and/or forward sales. It really was a game-changer and it has kept us ahead of the sector, but for people who follow the stock day to day - and I confess I'm one of them - it just doesn't feel like it.
The February 3 announcement was a great release and I hope and expect to see more like that, but THM's peers are releasing results like that as well, and as a group they are in a downtrend, so you have to conclude that the market has already baked-in that kind of news, and will continue to do so until there is an overall change in investor sentiment toward the sector
