Extracting oil or gas from mother earth will never be without consequence and the the gulf oil spill last summer made it seem like the whole process is best done somewhere else. Bad mouthing energy producers when the AC is turned up and the SUV has a full tank became quite popular.While nat gas is very cheap and the appetite for production in QUEBEC is minimal right now the asset is there and beleiving it will be of little value forever is a poor long term bet. With oil at $100 and very possibly going up for months to come it could indeed be suprising how quickly nat gas prices and popular opinion change
