INTERTAINMENT'S ORTSBO REAL TIME TRANSLATOR EXCEEDS QUARTERLY ESTIMATES BY UP TO 723% WITH 1 MONTH TO GO
Intertainment Media Inc.'s social media, real time, language translation platform, Ortsbo.com, continues to perform well above expectations with initial quarterly results for Jan. and Feb. exceeding strategic plan estimates by up to 723 per cent with March results still to come.
Ortsbo delivered over 50.5 million minutes of user engagement in the first two months of the quarter against an original estimate of 6.1 million minutes, or an increase of 723 per cent from the Sept. 2010 internal strategic overview. Performance across all other indices was impressive with online sessions recording an increase of 357 per cent, unique users 306 per cent and page views 586 per cent above strategic plan estimates.
With Ortsbo's instant translation capabilities for Twitter, recent tweets about world events have become easier to follow no matter what language a user speaks.
The past week's performance produced record results for Ortsbo even considering the holiday in the US and Canada, as the number of users accelerated in over 170 countries and territories around the world. Weekly user engagement minutes reached almost 7.8 million with over 3.3 million online sessions, 7.6 million page views and over 2 million unique users choosing Ortsbo for their online translation experience.
Unique active monthly users for the month of Feb. reached 6.3 million, a 62 per cent month over month increase from Jan., connecting users through today's most popular social media platforms including MSN, Facebook, GoogleTalk, Tencent QQ, Yahoo!, Twitter and others.
Ortsbo provides users with the ability to break down language and cultural barriers through its easy to use, language centric interface. Over the past month, user demographics have continued to favour the BRIC countries with China remaining the number one usage country for Ortsbo with Brazil moving into the number two spot followed by the US, South Korea, Canada, Taiwan, Germany, Argentina, Russia and India. Ortsbo's Top 10 user countries have a combined population of over 3.4 billion people.
Over the past week, as part of our ongoing commitment to improving the translation experience and to keep pace with accelerating demand, Ortsbo has begun to deploy additional infrastructure to handle the service loads placed on it by global users. The initial improvements have resulted in reduced load times and increased overall user experience.
