Brokers don't know squat
Brokers don't know squatI would agree. Unless your broker has inside information he/she likely does not have any information that you cannot also find.
I recall back when Nortel was $60 per share (down from $120) and many brokers were telling their clients to "buy". I know I did and sold at $12.
I then dumped my broker, started doing my own DD and have never looked back.
I have been in and out of CLQ many times and just recently bought back in the $1.30 range. Still trying to figure out if I will sell and take the haircut or hold. Not saying CLQ will not come back, but I can probably make some decent $ in the interim (opportunity cost). So will watch it over the next few days but with OIL and GOLD shooting up I can probably make back my losses somewhere else and still profit from CLQ down the road.
Nothing against CLQ, but perhaps quicker profits to be made elsewhere.
