RE: Management keeps earning...Chat, just tell us what you can do better. A company does not release a P.R. to satisfy people because there is a PDAC show in Toronto. What I see right now, and I will repeat it, most investors when it's coming to exploration mining stocks do not have a clue how an exploration company works. It takes 10 years to discover a mine and from grass root you have one chance on 5000 to 10,000 to discover an economic deposit. For Crevier, we'll get the truth about this discovery in 4 months from now. For Ikungu, we are a few years away from a feasability study. If you don't understand that dynamic, it means that you don't understand in what kind of company you are invested in.
MDN, like every other exploration company, is a highly speculative investment. Where are we now?
From less than a year of a decision to build a new mine. I'm invested in BAJ and SWY, 2 mining companies, one has all the financing to build a new mine and the other has to take a decision before the end of 2011 and I read the same kind of comments that I see here. Why these stock are so sluggish ?
Nobody can tell when the market will awake on a stock. But when the market moves, it will do it for 3 to 12 months and the stock can go to the moon when investors are confident that everything will come together. A good example is the progress of NSU in the last year, but when the middle-east started to boil, NSU took a hit for a couple of months and is recovering right now.
So before telling that the management is too well paid or anything else that is not very relevant for this board, DYDD on every stock you invest in. I,m also disapointted by the SP but I remember one thing. The most important is the price you pay when you buy and the price you sell. What is going between is virtual. Remember all the people in Nortel and other stocks. How many did real money ? Less than 10%, why, because, when it's time to buy or sell, people base their decision on emotion.
To finish my comment, I would say that we need Ikungu and Crevier to move this stock at the price we would like to see it. By the end of 2011, a decision should be made for the construction of Crevier and we'll be near a resource calculation on Ikungu. This deposit has the potential to get the major companies interested to do a move but to accomplish that goal we have to talk about millions of ounces, not thousand ones.
