Surge or sag
Surge or sagThe 'experts' like to predict that this issue is undervalued, however the dearth of news releases from this issue does not bode well. Yes, they have some nice exploitation at Evi, but they also throw money at 20 bbl/day producers at Wildmere, which indicates that they have few meaningful prospects other than North Dakota.
They bought some land recently, but those prospects are a long way down the road.
For sure, the multi-million dollar wells in North Dakota can provide a bump that this issuer needs to restore credibility, however, one dry hole will send the share price to the deep south. I do not care for the 'all eggs in one basket' philosophy and the disturbing lack of communication to its shareholder base is even more troubling.
AEI needs to be honest with its recently expanded base instead of hiding behind a wall of silence. The major share issuance during a critical drilling season is a sign of executive and board weakness. If the Board does not see its own lack of corporate governance, then all will suffer upon any sort of bad news.
It is another indication that they need someone else at the helm and perhaps a white knight to guide this company to the promised land. Put people where they perform best and a company can do well. This company is relying on more than one at the executive level that are learning as they go.
Maybe it is just dressing itself up to bend over for some relief from its inability to perform with decent properties.
Don't get me wrong. I am still long, but now it is now more of a gamble than a sure thing. The real upside is the white knight, if it's even interested.
