Orvana Minerals Corp. is a multi-mine gold-copper-silver company. It is involved in the evaluation, development and mining of precious and base metal deposits. Its assets consist of the producing El Valle and Carles gold-copper-silver mines in northern Spain, the Don Mario gold-silver property in Bolivia, and the Taguas property located in Argentina. The El Valle and Carles mines and the El Valle processing plant are a producer of copper concentrate and dore. El Valle is located in Asturias, Northern Spain. The Don Mario Operation is in San Jose de Chiquitos, Southeastern Bolivia. The Don Mario Operation consists of a set of assets that includes Las Tojas orebody, and the previously mined out lower mineralized zone, upper mineralized zone and Cerro Felix mines. The Taguas Property consists of 15 mining concessions over an area of 3,273.87 hectares, held and managed by its subsidiary Orvana Argentina S.A. Taguas is located in the province of San Juan, on the eastern flank of the Andes.

Orvana Minerals Corp.: Concentrate Contract Signed for El Valle-Boinas/Carles Mine in Northern Spain

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 8, 2011) - Orvana Minerals Corp. (TSX:ORV) ("Orvana" or "the Company"), is pleased to announce that it has concluded a contract for the sale of the gold/copper concentrates to be produced at its El Valle-Boinas/Carles Mine ("EVBC") in northern Spain.               

 

The Company received a number of responses to requests for proposals and selected MRI Trading AG ("MRI") of Zug, Switzerland. As required by the terms of our Credit Agreement, Credit Suisse approved Orvana's choice of off-take provider.               

 

Roland Horst, CEO of Orvana, said: "We are satisfied with the terms of the contract and look forward to working with MRI in the marketing of EVBC's concentrates".               

 

Orvana is available at the PDAC (booth #2738) to provide more details on the Company's three main projects: the EVBC gold/copper project in Spain, the Don Mario Mine Upper Mineralized Zone project in Bolivia and the Copperwood copper project in Michigan, USA. Orvana will also be presenting at the Investors' Exchange at 10:40am on Wednesday, March 9th.
