Here it isGot off the phone with IR recently he was in a rush, so couldn't get much. Their bread and butter are solar panels. They have contracts in U.S., Europe, and Asia.
As far as POET, they don't intend on developing it in anyway because they are not a huge chip maker. They want to outright sell it and receive royalties from the technology. They will continue on working on other innovations with military and NASA through ODIS in the U.S.
Currently a military contractor is testing this technology to see if it meets their needs. They said the money lies in the commercial market, however he wouldn't tell me if they were approached by anyone from commercial side.
As far as their solar business goes, he sounds confident in it but says it is just starting to get noticed and since it is still a fairly new concept and not very cost efficient at this stage, they are running into problems with having government backing them up in terms of financing although they are starting to get more recognition.
So there it is.. Nothing much new I got out of the convo.. But if anyone else is willing to pick up a phone of fire up an email I suggest you do that and pick their brains.. Instead of putting up garbage here. I'll try calling them tomorrow again as I got a few more questions lined up.
