BofA/Merrill On The End Of Small Cap Market Domination
Small cap outperformance is starting to look tired, and there's a growing chorus of folks calling for large caps to outperform
Small caps have been the least likely to beat estimates on both the top and bottom lines.
Big companies can absorb inflation and oil prices much easier
, Estimates and optimism remains too high
Estimateshave started to come down, but we don’t think they are falling fastenough and given where oil prices are today, they may need to come downeven faster and this should hurt relative performance.
Ou..ou. have to revise my 20c CMK EPS down
the percentage of companies trading below 10x 2012 earnings.
Right now the number is historically pretty low.

Martenson Reports : The Coming Rout
Tuesday, March 8, 2011
the stock ,commodities and bond markets could all sell off between 20% and 40%.
The trigger will be the cessation of QE II and a multi-month pause before QE III.

Everything would tank.
Stocks, bonds, and commodities.
All of the risk assets that have been
unnaturally supported by a flood of liquidity,
too-low interest rates, and thin-air base money would give up those ill-gotten gains.
Gold might behave a bit differently, because along with these market declines will come
an enormous amount of uncertainty about the financial system itself,
usually a condition for higher gold prices.
So I expect gold to correct somewhat, but not nearly as much as everything else,
and it could even gain.
