I think you are missing something here.
The share price of Severstal hit a high of nearly 30 at its peak and fell down to low single digits
during the crisis. This made Alexei on paper very poor.
But now since the stock price is almost at 20 again, he is rich again (on paper).
You can't make a 1 on 1 connection with Severstal losing money. Severstals P&L is not Mordashov's.
Mordashov's P&L is the stock price of his company.
He has done nothing wrong sofar, I would only blame him for being utterly stupid not promoting HRG
towards investors by being more transparant about his intentions with HRG.
