"Cote Lake is more a puddle than anything else, and the river is a creek with surrounding marshy area, which is little more than a few feet deep. "
Total utter nonsense. Lakes of this size in the Northern Shield with the same surrounding topography go 30 to more feet deep with tributaries up to 100 meters across in some areas like here bottoming out well over the the 10 foot level . The tributary running into NW Cote Lake is a river , not a creek.
