Conference Call

Conference Call

Apparently  Orocobre had a conference call to discuss the new approvals process. The following is one member of the HotCopper board’s  interpretation . It sounds pretty positive.

The verbal intent received is that this process is not meant to cause us problems or slow us down but is actually meant to be positive, even if strictly on paper it might appear otherwise. We are awaiting guidelines on the actual process (about a week). Highlighted key involvement of Argentine NED Frederico Nicholson at both the local and national level. Sounds like he has been a very valuable appointment. Appears chiefly to be a framework for provincial govt to have a seat at the table. Despite politicization, stresses provincial govt has a long history of being pro-mining. No changes in royalties expected. More likely aiming to facilitate LT employment, training, value adding opportunities for small to medium organizations to be part of the local development - which is in keeping with company aims to date.

DFS still on track and not significantly distracted. TT relationship very much business as usual. RS just returned from visit, all TT people ok re earthquake.

Disclaimer: My understanding only. Not to be relied on (lol). DYOR.
